How I got started!

Several years ago I was visiting my girlfriend in Southern California. She was showing me around her new house, explaining what she liked and what she wanted to change. She didn’t really like the color of the walls in the family room – too rusty/orange “ish” for her taste! She thought her back splash in her kitchen was too dark. She wasn’t thrilled with her furniture layout in her living room and the front entry. She didn’t know what to put above the piano in her family room! We got busy discussing ideas and possibilities! We then started moving furniture around, rearranging her accessories and wall art. We made a list of the few things we needed to pick up the next day, according to the budget allowed (by the way, a personal budget is always taken into consideration when staging or rearranging a home)! We were on a mission!

As we were discussing these changes, my girlfriend said, “you need to do this for other people”! I laughed! But, the more we talked about it, the more I liked the idea. My daughter had just left for college and I was now an empty nester (which I really hate, by the way), and I found myself with time on my hands. I’m not formally educated as an interior designer, but honestly, I’ve never left a house yet that didn’t look better then when I got there! I thought to myself, why not share my talents and ideas with others who struggle with making their house feel like a home! So, the adventure began!

Several years later I’m still helping offer friendly suggestions and recommendations for those who need some assistance when listing their home or when a room or two in a home need a little “tweeking”! This is what I love to do! We’ll have fun doing it too!
